Richard Rossi Retiring as Cambridge City Manager
After 45 years working in the city he grew up in, Rossi is ready to call it quits.

CAMBRIDGE, MA - Cambridge City Manager Richard Rossi announced Friday that he will retire after 45 years working in the city he grew up in.
Rossi has been city manager since 2013. His contract runs through June, and he said he would stay to assure an "orderly transition."
Rossi reflected on his tenure in the position.

"For the past 45 years, I have worked to improve our community and I have enjoyed every minute of it," he said in a statement. "As someone who grew up and went to public school in Cambridge, I am so proud that I have been able to play a role in helping my city – our city -- become the great City that it is today. Of course it has been challenging at times, but the work of the last three years has been rewarding, and I believe that we have made positive steps towards shaping the future for both residents and businesses."
The Cambridge City Council is charged with selecting and appointing the next City Manager.
