Second of Six Fugitive Sex Offenders Captured: State Police

Police have arrested the second of six fugitive sex offenders recently added to its 'Most Wanted' sex offenders list Friday.

CHELSEA, MA—State Police have arrested a second member of the six fugitive sex offenders added to the 'Most Wanted' sex offenders list Friday.

Scott Halle, 45, was arrested on Spruce Street in Chelsea Sunday morning after a two day search and investigation by State, Chelsea and Cambridge police. Halle is regarded as a level three sex offender as a result of his convictions in Plymouth County in 2000 for rape and for indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older. The conviction stemmed from a sexual assault in Marshfield, according to Police.

Halle is being held at the State Police Barracks in Leverett Circle on $100,000 bail.

If he is unable to post bail, he will be processed on two warrants charging him with failure to register as a sex offender.

Halle is the second man added to the 'Most Wanted' list to be taken into custody. Reggie C. Ellenwood, 58, was arrested at the Pine Street Inn in Boston where he was staying, according to State Police. He was taken into custody around 7 p.m. by Longwood Security officers, who provide security for the shelter, then turned over to the nearby Boston Police precinct.
