Shooting At Cambridge Street Gas Station: Police
Police said the clerk at Richie's Shell station on Cambridge Street was shot in the leg early Wednesday. Now police are looking for one man.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — The clerk working at a gas station was shot last night in the leg after he confronted two people who stole a water bottle from the convenience store, police said. The 50-year-old clerk was sent to the hospital with non life threatening injuries and has since been released.
Police say they've brought in the driver for questioning, recovered a gun and are now looking for the man who shot it. They describe the suspect as a black man with long hair wearing dark pants and a blue shirt.
About 3:58 a.m. Wednesday two people allegedly stole a bottle of water at the Richie's Shell station on Cambridge Street.

The clerk went outside and confronted the men about it. When he did, one of the men got a bag from his car and pulled out a gun and shot at the clerk.
The driver of the car then sped off in one direction and the shooter ran away. The clerk was taken to Cambridge Hospital with non-life threatening injuries (police say the bullet grazed his foot or leg) and has since been released and is working with police to piece together the events.

The incident is still under investigation, according to police.
