The man who killed himself had been fired four months prior. The man who was shot did not suffer serious injuries.
CAMBRIDGE, MA - A man with a gun wounded his former boss, firing into a building he once worked at before taking his own life Thursday morning, police said.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooter was identified as 70-year-old Framingham resident Kermit Hooks. Hooks targeted his former boss at Senior Whole Health, 58-year-old Charles Obeid, four months after being fired, reports WBZ's Beth Germano. Obeid said Hooks was fired for performance reasons, and that there were no threats after the firing.
