Two Cars Burst Into Flames On Brattle Street: Cambridge Fire
Cambridge firefighters put out serious-looking double car fire this morning on Brattle Street.

CAMBRIDGE MA — Firefighters were busy this morning fighting not one, but two cars on fire. No one was injured, but photos of the fire show flames pouring out of both cars.
At 9:30 a.m. Monday, firefighters got a call about two cars were in flames on Brattle Street near Fresh Pond Pkwy. When they arrived, sure enough, flames were visible on the rear end of what appeared to be a parked SUV and on the hood of a what appeared to be a parked sedan.
Engine 9 arrived and started by blasting the cars with water. Engine 9 was joined by Engine 8, Ladder 4, and Division 1.

Fire officials say the cause was ruled accidental. A mechanical issue in one car ignited the fire and then extended to the other.
