Police Seek Witnesses Of Fatal Canton Crash
State police are asking for the public's assistance in investigating a crash that claimed the life of a Canton man over the weekend.

CANTON, MA – State police are looking for witnesses of a fatal Canton crash and the events leading up to it on Saturday, Feb. 10. Ralph Hawkins, 74, was standing outside 147 High St. around 11:30 a.m. when he was struck by a 2016 GMC Sierra that had veered off the road.
Hawkins was pronounced dead at Boston Medical Center.
Authorities say they know the identity of the driver of the truck but have not released his name. Reports earlier this week identified him as Sgt. Paul Williams of the Stoughton Police Department.

So far no charges have been filed in the crash.
Police would like to speak with anyone who saw the crash or a white pickup truck being driven in or around Canton between 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Potential witnesses or anyone with information related to the incident or a white pickup truck are asked to call State Police detectives at 617-740-7867. Those who may have already spoken to other police officers are also asked to contact State Police at that number.
