R.J. Grey Junior High School

The Acton Community Chorus presents its Spring 2026 Concert “Movie Night” on June 12 at 7:00 p.m. and June 13 at 4:00 p.m. at the Dragonfly Theater of RJ Grey Junior High (16 Charter Road, Acton). The concert features iconic songs of iconic movies – from “Casa Blanca” to “Titanic” to “Barbie” and many familiar films in between. Tickets are available at $25 for adults and free for students up to 12th grade. They may be purchased from the chorus website (<a href="https://www.actoncommunitychorus.org/events.html" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">actoncommunitychorus.org/events.html</a><a href="https://chorus.org/events" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"></a>).&nbsp;

The community partner for this concert is<a href="https://www.opentable.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"> Open Table</a>, which provides culturally appropriate groceries and meals to families in Maynard, Concord, and other local towns. Concert goers are encouraged to bring a donation of cooking oil (plastic bottles, please).

The Acton Community Chorus is a nonprofit organization funded in part by grants from the Acton Boxborough, Concord, Littleton and Stow cultural councils which are supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Sponsored by the Bedford (MA) Cultural District Partnership, the Music &amp; Arts Experience 2026 will offer unique opportunities for all ages to experience art and craft making firsthand. There will be interactive workshops and inspiring demos under big tents. There will also be hands-on experiences at vendors’ booths, where shoppers can browse original handmade goods—jewelry, ceramics, baskets, digital art, handbound books, greeting cards, and more. Live music will provide a relaxed ambience, and refreshments and comfortable seating areas will offer comfort and respite.

The Carlisle Music Festival celebrates its milestone 5th
anniversary on Sunday, June 21. To celebrate in style, they’ve assembled a packed lineup of great musicians from Carlisle and the greater Boston area. The Festival features many genres of music and is free to attend.
With 11 live music performances running nonstop from noon to 7 PM on two tented stages, plus kids’ activities, snack food and ice cream, it’s a great way for the whole family to enjoy an early summer day outdoors on Spalding Field in beautiful Carlisle. 
Featured bands this year are regional favorites Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra, Five O’Clock Shadow, Listen To This, Lola Sweet and Red Velvet Slide.

The Wright Tavern and Freedom's Way are sponsoring an event to recreate this experience on the steps of First Parish in Concord.
