Waltz Fundamentals

Learn how to dance a social turning waltz (aka rotary waltz), including some variations and figures! This style of waltz is done to a variety of tempos -- faster than a slow ballroom waltz, but slower than a Viennese waltz -- and is danced throughout the country at social, contra, and folk dances, including at our monthly Mostly Waltz dance in Concord.

The classes will start from the very beginning and will be cumulative across the five weeks, with practice time built in at the end of each session. You may sign up for the series, or for individual classes if you are already familiar with some basic rotary waltz.
