Charlestown Man Stabbed in Rear During Attack

The victim told police he did not know his attacker.

A Charlestown resident suffered a stab wound after what he described as a random assault Tuesday night, according to police.

Boston Police media relations reported that officers responded to a radio call for a stabbing at 8:31 p.m., Tuesday.

Upon arrival, the department said, the officers met the victim, who was being treated by emergency medical services for a stab wound to the buttocks.

The victim told police that he was walking near 129 Walford Way when an “unknown white male” approached him, assaulted him and then stabbed him before fleeing in an unknown direction.

Police reported that the victim was conscious and able to speak, but was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital after the incident.
