Charlestown Students Win MWRA Poster Contest; City Chief of Environment, Energy and Open Space Attends Awards Ceremo
Warren-Prescott students win for posters about working in all kinds of weather
The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is pleased to announce that eight students at the Warren-Prescott School, Charlestown, have won MWRA’s annual poster contest.
Olivia Doherty, grade 2, won First Place in the grades K-2 category.
Madelyn Buksbaum, grade 4, won First Place in the grades 3-5 category.

Kiernan Day, grade 2, won Second Place in the grades K-2 category.
Amelia Fix, grade 3, won Third Place in the grades 3-5 category.

Rebecca Santosuosso, Belal Hariri, Ethan Sardina and Ofira Lam won Honorable Mention.
This year, students across the MWRA service area were challenged to create posters about how MWRA workers do their jobs in all kinds of weather. An awards ceremony was held on Friday, May 26 at the Deer Island Treatment Plant. City of Boston Chief of Environment, Energy and Open Space and MWRA Board Member Austin Blackmon attended the ceremony and congratulated the winners.
