The following information was provided by the Boston Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Boston police officers on Tuesday arrested three individuals suspected of breaking and entering in the downtown area, one of them being from Charlestown.

On Tuesday morning, around 1:43 a.m., Boston officers from the city’s District A-1 Downtown station responded to a report of a suspicious person in the area of 9 Park St., according to a police report on BPDNews.com. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the caller, who claimed he saw a man enter the alley next to the building at the location. The caller also reportedly saw a metal gate, which allows access to a fire escape at the building, open and leading to residential condos that are currently under construction.

Police were then able to speak with a female suspect on scene, whom they located on the roof of the building and who climbed down the fire escape at the request of officers. The woman claimed she was on the roof with two other males, but said she did not know their names, police said in the report. Officers climbed the ladder to the roof and then located the two male suspects in the vicinity of an open window that led into one of the condos.
