Today is Wednesday, Dec. 21. Here are five things you need to know:
1. Don’t bet on a white Christmas. We’ll probably see some precipitation today. If we do, that precipitation will come in the form of rain. Temperatures could reach the mid 50s, and look ready to stay on the warmer side (for December, anyway) right on through Christmas.
2. A quick fire. Boston firefighters responded to a small trash fire at the Casella Recycling Center in the Bunker Hill Industrial Park last night around 4:15 p.m. By the time we arrived, around 4:40 p.m., it was all over. The firefighters and their trucks were rolling out.

3. City Council meets today. The assembly’s agenda includes a measure that would raise cemetery fees. The group will also meet a bit earlier than usual today—at 11:30 a.m. instead of noon.
4. Games at Golden Age. The senior center will host games of both and today, according to our calendar. With the warm weather, this could be a good outing.

5. Education near home. The Constitution Museum is changing exhibits—swapping at exhibit on the Barbary War for one on the War of 1812—and posted a video of what it looks like when the museum takes one of its exhibits down. Take a look. You might want to skip the first 30 seconds, though.
