Five Things: Looking Forward to the Super Bowl

Today is Thursday, Feb. 2. Here are five things you need to know.

1. At this rate, we’re not going to have winter. Weather.com predicts highs in the low 40s today, with a low chance or rain, cloudy skies and a bit of wind.

2. We have some Super Bowl specials, and we’re looking for more. We called around to likely candidates earlier this week, and, yesterday, we published two . We know there are more out there. 3. Charlestown Live. The  show this week will feature host Diane Grant with guest Abby Gray. The topic of discussion will be upcoming events at the Charlestown Chamber of Commerce.  

4. A few more photos from the sunken car. Charlestown Patch published a and from the efforts to extract the car . Yesterday, though, the Boston Fire Department published its own photos. Fun note: the BFD public information officer took these photos on an iPad.

5. Are you thinking about February vacation yet? The USS Constitution Museum will be holding an event called “A Model of a Good Time.” Explore the collection using a family Scavenger Hunt. Talk to ship modelers and watch them in action. Learn how USS Constitution earned her nickname, “Old Ironsides,” and make a paper boat to take home.
