Good Samaritan Gets Cut With Knife

Notable incidents from the District A-15 police journal for Sept. 3-8.

These reports were submitted from the Boston Police Department and took place within Charlestown's District, A-15. The time and place of the alleged crimes are listed. Persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

09/03/12—Assault and battery with a knife
Officers responded to Decatur Street for a report of a person with a knife. A witness stated to officers he observed a male dragging a female, and when he attempted to help her, the suspect brandished a knife and tried to stab him. Witness suffered a laceration on his finger as a result of the attack. A second witness was also on the scene, but refused to cooperate. As a result of the investigation that followed, the suspect was located and placed under arrest. Suspect also had several outstanding warrants.

09/04/12—Trespassing
Officers on Tibbetts Town Way observed an individual on the property in violation of a no trespass order. Complaints will be sought in Charlestown court for the violation.

09/05/12—Theft in a building
Victim on Terminal Street reports to officers that he left his music equipment in the hallway and when he returned an hour later the items were gone .At this time it’s, possible the missing items may have been located in a storage unit in the bldg. Detectives are investigating.

09/04/12—Theft
Victim on 1st Avenue reports while he was sleeping some stole his watch. Victim feels it may have been the person he allowed to stay in his home. Matter is under investigation.

09/06/12—Drugs
As a result of an investigation on Medford Street, school police officers placed an individual under arrest for possession of a class B substance with intent to distribute.

09/08/12—Investigate person
Victim on Wallace Court reports about 2am she woke up to her dog barking and observed her back screen door open. She then observed a white male wearing a dark cap, white t-shirt and jeans on the back porch. Suspect then jumped to a fire escape and left the area. No damage was done to the rear door and at this time it appears nothing was taken.
