MIT Team Wins Hyperloop Competition

The MIT Hyperloop Team beat over 100 other teams from schools around the globe in Elon Musk’s SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition Saturday at Texas A&M.
The Hyperloop is what Elon Musk sees as a high-speed pod-base transportation system, one that would shoot pods from city to city up to 700 miles per hour.

The next step for the MIT team will be building a pod to test on a 1-mile long track that is being built near SpaceX in California.
The MIT team consisted of: Philippe Kirschen, John Mayo, Chris Merian, Max Opgenoord, Greg Monahan, Chuan Zhang, Colm O’Rourke, Charlie Wheeler, Derek Paxson, and Laide Olams.
