Brookline Cops Alleging Racial Bias Denied Paid Leave
Prentice Pilot and Estifanos Zerai-Misgun, both black, will not be compensated for their time off while their claims are investigated. The two officers have been on leave since going public with their allegations in December.
Mass. No. 1 in Nation in Receiving School Bomb Threats
A new study released by the Educator's School Safety Network found that there were 745 bomb threats in United States' schools in the first half of 2015-2016 school year. Seventy-five of those were in Massachusetts, making the state far and away No. 1 in terms of number of threats received.

A massive drug, gun, and gang operation busted up in New York City Thursday has roots that appear to have started in New Hampshire last year, after three New Yorkers were busted for guns and drugs while towns in Massachusetts were also being flooded with drugs.
Laser Aimed at Plane Landing at Logan
The incident happened around 10 p.m. on Thursday, and the plane landed safely at Logan. The laser appeared to be coming from slightly northeast of the city, according to the flight crew.
