Police File Flurry of Drug Charges in Charlestown

Some arrests filed in connection with ongoing investigation.

These reports were submitted from the Boston Police Department and took place within Charlestown's District, A-15. The time and place of the alleged crimes are listed. Persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Dec. 19: Shoplifting

An officer performing the paid detail at the Austin Street mall observed a suspect run from the CVS. store carrying items that had not been paid for. After a lengthy foot chase and brief struggle, the suspect was placed under arrest.

Dec. 19: Drug Arrest

As a result of an ongoing drug investigation in the area of Main Street, a suspect was placed under arrest for possession of a class D substance with intent to distribute.

Officers on Walford Way placed an individual under arrest for violation of a no trespass order.

Dec. 19: Drug Arrest

As a result of an ongoing drug investigation in the area of Tibbetts Town Way, two suspects were taken into custody and charged with possession of a class B substance with intent to distribute.

Dec. 21: Marijuana Citation

Officers on Medford Street issued a violation of city ordinance to an individual charging possession of marijuana.

Dec. 21: Drug Arrest

As a result of an ongoing drug investigation in the area of Cambridge Street, a suspect was charged with possession of heroin.

Dec. 22: Drug Arrest

As a result of a drug investigation in the area of Bunker Hill Street, an individual was placed under arrest for possession of cocaine.

Dec. 23: Breaking and Entering into a Residence

A victim on Pleasant Street reported that a white male entered her unlocked apartment and removed a box containing assorted jewelry. The suspect fled the scene upon being noticed by a tenant.

A Victim on Caldwell Street reported that, upon returning home, they observed that the front door lock to their home had been broken and the apartment had been ransacked. Taken from the home were various pieces of jewelry.

Dec. 26: Warrant Arrest

Officers on Bunker Hill Street placed an individual under arrest for an outstanding Somerville court warrant charging larceny.
