Police Log: All's Quiet on the C'Town Front... Sort Of
A comprehensive look at reported crimes in the Charlestown district, A-15, from July 19 to July 27.

Of the over fifty items in Charlestown's police log between July 19th and 27th, only three resulted in arrest.
- On July 19 at about 4:00 p.m., Michael Fidler of 176 Bowdoin St., Winthrop, was arrested at 437 Rutherford Ave. and charged with unarmed bank robbery.
- On July 20 at about 2:00 p.m., Nicholas Caso of 46 Chestnut St. was arrested on Bunker Hill St. and charged with daytime, residential breaking and entering without force.
- On July 25 at about 6:20 p.m., Stephen Miele of 117 Dunstable St. was arrested at 216 Main Street as a service to another police department within the state of Massachusetts.
The remaining forty-some-odd incidences break down as follows:
- 8 reports of larceny
- 9 motor vehicle-related reports, including parking and towing
- 2 reports of people in need of medical attnetion
- 6 alleged incidences of breaking and entering
- 3 alleged incidences of vandalism
- 3 situations of people being investigated
- 4 alleged incidences of people making threates to do bodily harm
- 2 reports of dangerous a/o hazardous conditions
- 2 reports of alleged restraining order violations
- 3 incidences of verbal dispute
- 1 incident each: intimidating a witness, assault & battery, missing person, receiving stolen property and possession of drugs, class D.
