Police Log: Burglar Smashes Door With Granite

On March 29, around 9 p.m., a High Street resident reported that someone had broken into his apartment and stolen some valuables. The victim said that he left home around 6:30 a.m. and returned around 7:45 p.m. At some time during that period, someone used a six-inch slab of granite to break open the rear door. The victim reported a number of valuables missing.

On Mach 29, around 11 a.m., a Bunker Hill Street resident reported that someone broke into her vehicle and stole some of her clothing. The victim was unsure of whether or not she had locked the vehicle the night before.

Monday, March 26

• Officers on Sudbury Street around 1 p.m. executed a warrant and arrested Andre Ambris of 281 Beach Street in Roslindale.
• Officers arrested Andrew Maxwell of 22 Clayton Street in Malden and charged him with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute it.

Tuesday, March 27

• Officers responded to High Street around 2:15 p.m. for a report of an assault and battery. One victim was treated for minor injuries.
• Officers responded to a report of an assault and battery on Bunker Hill Street around 2:50 p.m.

Wednesday, March 28

• Officers responded to a Chelsea Street address around 3:40 a.m. for a report of an assault and battery.
• Officers responded to Samuel Morse way around 8:45 a.m. for a report of an assault and battery. As a result of the call, officers arrested Rene Menard of 9 Samuel Morse Way.

Thursday, March 29

• Officers responded to a Tufts Street address around 11 a.m. for a report of an assault and battery with a deadly weapon. Police arrested no suspects as a result of the incident.

Friday, March 30

• Officers arrested Carlos Martinez of 42 Park Street after a taxi driver reported that Martinez had assaulted and robbed him.
