Police Log: Knifepoint Robber Takes $60-80
With an unwelcome envelope filled with feces.

On Sunday, Jan 8, an officer responded to a report of an armed robbery near 65 Winthrop Street. The victim told police that, while walking near Winthrop Street, a black male came out of an alley. The suspect said “ha Buddy,” the report said, “then flipped open a five-inch silver colored knife and asked the victim ‘what do you have?’” According to a police report, the victim then took $60-80 out of his wallet and gave it to the suspect, who then fled on Winthrop Street toward Monument Square.
On Tuesday, Jan. 3, a resident visited the police department to report that she had had an ongoing problem with a neighbor in her condo building. The resident reported that she had recently found an envelope containing dog feces in her mailbox. The victim also reported receiving a letter advising her “how to dispose of her dogs [sic] excrements appropriately.
