
On Tuesday, April 24 around 8:45 a.m., officers spotted what they believed to be a drug deal on Caldwell Street. After seeing the activity, they followed both vehicles they believed to be involved with the deal onto Maffa Way. Upon approaching the first vehicle, an officer spotted what he believed to be three plastic bags of heroin on the suspect’s leg. Following that, officers arrested both suspects—Wellington Mejia of 73 Bunker Hill Street in Charlestown and Michael Clark of 4 Deerfield Place in North Reading—under arrest.
