Police Log: Six Arrests & Lots of Larceny

A comprehensive look at reported crimes in the Charlestown district, A-15, from July 27 to Aug. 3.

The following information was furnished by the Boston Police Department. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Of the 5O or so items in the Police Log for Area A-15 from July 27 to August 3, the following six resulted in arrests:

  • On July 27 at about 10:45 p.m., John Scanlan of 19 Phipps St. was arrested at home on charges of violating a restraining order.
  • On July 28 at 8:10 p.m., Alexjandro Otero of 153 Bunkerhill St. was arrested at 9 Starr King CT on charges of possessing a dangerous weapon/firearm.
  • On July 28 at 11:20 p.m., Johnny Correa of 134 Belgrade Ave., Roslindale, was arrested at 700 Columbus Ave on charges of threatening to do bodily harm.
  • On August 2 at 6:30 p.m., Michael A. Clark of 4 Deerfield Pl., North Reading, was arrested on Chelsea St., on charges of possession of a Class A substance.
  • On August 2 just before 8:00 p.m., Timothy J Lawton of 274A Main St. was arrested at 5 Austin Ave. on charges of disorderly conduct.

The remaining forty-some-odd incidences break down as follows:

  • 11 reports of larceny
  • 9 motor vehicle-related reports, including parking, towing and several 'leaving the scene' scenarios
  • 2 reports of people in need of medical attention
  • 2 alleged incidences of breaking and entering
  • 3 alleged incidences of vandalism
  • 2 situations of people being investigated and 2 more of property being investigated
  • 2 reports of alleged assault & battery
  • 4 reports of found missing persons
  • 2 drug-related incidences
  • 2 death-related investigations
  • 1 incident each: making threats to do bodily harm, verbal dispute and an animal-related event
