Police Log: Woman Bitten on Thigh During Scuffle

Police log entries from Feb. 6 through Feb. 12

On Tuesday, Feb. 7, officers responded to a report of an assault at a Carney Court apartment. The officers found two white women who had gotten into an apparently drunken argument that escalated to a physical altercation. According to the report, during the fight, one of the women bit the other woman’s “inner right thigh twice.” As a result of the event, police charged Janice McGill of 97 Walk Hill Street in Jamaica Plain, with assault and battery.

On Thursday, Feb. 9, officers logged a report of a past burglary from the American Baker’s Café. Officers spoke to someone associated with the bakery who reported that, some time between the evening of Friday, Feb 3 and Saturday, Feb. 4, someone smashed the two front glass panes on the bakery along with the font glass door. The victim also reported that someone stole the cash register with approximately $200 inside. The victim also reported finding two bricks inside along with other damage.

  • Officers responded to a Medford Street property where they charged a juvenile with possession of marijuana with the intention to distribute it.
  • Officers responded to Atlantic Avenue where a driver reportedly struck and damaged property before leaving the scene.
  • A victim reported that someone stole valuables worth $200 or more from a McNulty Court property.
