Police Logs: Gunpoint Robbery on O'Reilly Way

And a man assaulted for not driving his girlfriend home.

On Dec. 1, police responded to a report of a woman hitting a man at the Hess gas station at 123 Cambridge Street.

According to a report, officers responded to the scene and found a woman wearing a black top yelling at a man wearing a ripped shirt. When questioned, the man reported that the woman, his girlfriend, had hit him in the head and scratched him after he reported that he was not yet ready to drive her home.

His girlfriend appeared upset to officers, and reported that her boyfriend promised to get her home at a reasonable hour.

Later, after being arrested and transported to the police department, the woman said “He wouldn’t drive me home, so I punched him,” while on the phone.

On Friday, Dec. 2, a man visited the District 15 police department to report that he had been robbed at gunpoint on Nov. 25.

The victim told police that a group of Hispanic men in their early 20s approached him. One of the men pointed a small black handgun at him and told him to empty his pockets. The victim told the group to take whatever they want, and relinquished a cell phone valued at $400, a wallet valued at $200 and $40 in cash along with a credit card, a Bunker Hill Community College ID and his driver’s license.

After he had turned over the property, the victim said, he reported that one of the men told him to leave, then yelled that he was going to shoot the victim. The victim ran down O’Reilly way, chased by his assailant, until he crossed Bunker Hill Street.
