Police Logs: Man Arrested After Main St Assault Report

And a man drunk in public is arrested on an outstanding warrant.

On Wednesday, Dec. 7, officers responded to a report of a domestic assault near the Tedeschi on Main Street. Officers spoke with the victim, who reported that she had had an argument with her live-in boyfriend inside the store and that he had then assaulted her outside on Main Street. Officers searched the area but could not find the man. An officer escorted the woman home, then later responded to another call and arrested a Charlestown man in connection with the crime.

On Sunday, Dec. 10, officers arrested Nicholas Caso, of Chestnut Street in Charlestown, in connection with a crime reported earlier this year against an elderly resident. The resident reported that Caso had duplicated his credit card and made several unauthorized purchases. Police encountered Saturday after responding to a report of a man “very drunk [and] starting fights with people” near 539 Washington Street. They found the suspect in the street “in a very intoxicated state” and took him into custody on an outstanding warrant.
