- At 9:00 a.m., police responded to a report of extensive vandalism to a motor vehicle at 419 Main Street. The victim told police he’d parked at about 5:30 p.m. the previous afternoon directly across the street from the Sovereign Bank and is hoping the surveillance cameras may have caught the crime. Both side mirrors were ripped from the car leaving dangling wires, both the entire hood and rear bumper were ‘keyed,’ and the front windshield had been smashed.
- At 4:23 p.m., police responded to a report of vandalism at 28 Dunstable Street. Upon arrival the callers explained that sometime between 2:10 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. the front door lock to their apartment had been tampered with and they were unable to unlock the door as a result. Police noted that the lock did appear to be filled with a glue-like substance. The callers made mention of a previous issue when police had responded to the same address about an attempted break-in with a wire cord. They stated they thought the two events are likely related. Further police investigation of the earlier incident had revealed a prior relationship between the suspects and the victims who told the police they feared for their safety and requested follow-up to this secondary act of vandalism. Photos of both incidents have been taken. Building maintenance came to repair the damage to the lock.
