Thief Enters Home Via Window, Takes $1,000

Police log entries for March 19-23.

These reports were submitted from the Boston Police Department and took place within Charlestown's District, A-15. The time and place of the alleged crimes are listed. Persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

March 22: Breaking and entering into a residence during the day

A victim on Old Landing Way reported at about 11am that she returned home and saw that someone had pushed in a wall unit air conditioner and entered the home. About a thousand dollars was taken. It should be noted that in roughly the same time period there were two attempted break ins in the same area. Detectives are investigating and video surveillance of the area is being reviewed.

March 19:  Drug arrest

As a result of a drug investigation in the area of Cambridge Street, an individual was placed under arrest for possession of a class b substance with intent to distribute.

March 19: Theft from a building

The victim reported that while at the YMCA on 3rd Avenue, she returned to her locker at 6pm to find her pocket book and other personal items had been stolen. Detectives will review the video camera films.

March 20: Drug arrest

As a result of a drug investigation in the area of Rutherford Avenue, a suspect was placed under arrest and charged with possession of a dangerous weapon (switchblade).

March 20: Assault and battery with a deadly weapon (knife)

A victim on Walford Way reported that, while walking down the street at about 8pm, an unknown suspect walked up to him and for no reason punched him. When victim fell to the ground the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the buttocks. Suspect then fled the area. Matter is under investigation.

March 20: Breaking and entering during the night

At 10pm, officers responded to Pleasant Street for a reported breaking and entering. Pry marks were observed on the front door of the home. As a result of the investigation that followed as well as speaking to witnesses the suspect was located and placed under arrest.

March 21: Death investigation

At 5pm, officers responded to Terminal Street for a person who had jumped off the Tobin Bridge. Upon arrival, the area was secured and the proper notifications were made. No further info available at this time.

March 22: Possession of burglarious tools

As a result of a radio call at 9am, officers responded to O’meara Court to investigate a suspicious person. As a result, a suspect was placed under arrest and charged with receiving stolen property and possession of burglarious tools.

March 23: Drug arrest

As a result of a drug investigation in the area of Main Street, a suspect was placed under arrest for possession of a class E substance with intent to distribute.

March 23: Drug arrest

As a result of a drug investigation in the area of Walford Way, a suspect was placed under arrest for possession of a class A substance with intent to distribute.
