Transit Police: Crime More Than Doubles At Sullivan in 2011
Community College sees flat crime rate.

If the MBTA’s 2011 crime stats have any message for Charlestown residents, it’s this: when convenient, go to Community College instead of Sullivan Square.
Crime handled and recorded by MBTA transit police at Community College remained about the same in 2011 as in 2010, with five crimes recorded in each year, while crime at Sullivan Square more than doubled from seven to 19.
The biggest increase at the major Orange Line and bus hub came from larcenies, as victims reported eight times that their property had been stolen from the station. Transit police also logged six robberies, one burglary and four assaults.

The only bright spot in the statistics came from auto thefts. Two T riders reported their car had been stolen from Sullivan Station in 2010 while none did in 2011.
