The Chelmsford Patch Athlete of the week this week is football player Tim Joy. The CHS star inside linebacker had his best defensive game of the season Thursday as he blocked a punt, broke up some key passes and was all over the field making tackles for the Lions defense.
The Boston College-bound Joy came up with the play of the night in the first quarter as he ripped through the Methuen line and blocked a punt that led to a Chris Marino recovery for a touchdown.
Joy and company held the Rangers scoreless in the first half before the starters exited play in the third quarter.
