Commuter Rail Train Strikes, Kills Man In Lowell
The man hit late last night has died, Transit Police said this morning.

LOWELL, MA — A 28-year-old man who was struck by a Commuter Rail train late Thursday night in Lowell has died, Transit Police said Friday morning.
Transit Police responded around 11:45 p.m. for a report of someone possibly struck by a train. They said it appeared the man was trespassing on the right of way when he was struck by an outbound train in the area of Lundberg and O'Neil Street.
The victim has not been identified.

The man was the second to have been fatally struck by an MBTA train Thursday. A female was struck and killed at Ruggles Station by an Orange Line train earlier in the day.
