Man Killed in Maine Golf Cart Accident Identified as Chelmsford Native

A man killed last week in a golf cart accident in South Berwick, Maine, is a Chelmsford Native.
Eric S. Sullivan, 27, of Stoughton, was killed when the golf cart he was riding in on a course in Maine overturned. He was reportedly ejected from the cart and sustained “massive head trauma,” NECN reported.

Sullivan was a Chelmsford Native and a former high school swimming star, according to the Lowell Sun
Sullivan’s obituary in the Lowell Sun, identifies him as a 2005 graduate of Chelmsford High School where, as a member of the school’s swimming and diving teams, they won three consecutive state championships. Sullivan served as team captain his senior year.

Sullivan’s funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at St. Mary Parish, 25 North Road, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Chelmsford High School All Sports Booster Club, 200 Richardson Road, Chelmsford, MA 01863.
