The students will work on it throughout the winter.

This information was submitted by Cynthia McLain.
Students at the Nashoba Valley Technical High School will be constructing a kiosk for the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail this winter. This project was requested by the Town of Chelmsford, based on a recommendation by the Chelmsford Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. The covered kiosk, similar to one on the Nashua River Rail Trail in Groton, will be installed in Chelmsford Center. The Friends of the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail are fundraising to cover the estimated $2,290 cost of this project. For details on the project see http://www.brucefreemanrailtrail.org/pdf/20110123_FBFRTFundingApplication.pdf. To date, $736 has been contributed by residents of Arlington, Concord, Sudbury, and Westford.
If you are able, please make a donation to the Chelmsford Amenities Fund to help pay for this item. Donations to this fund can also be used for benches, bike racks, and portable toilets for the trail.
