CCHS Alpine Skiing Off to a Strong Start
Boys and girls finish in the top half of the pack in their first two meets.

On Jan. 5, Concord Carlisle High School participated in its first Alpine ski meet of the season. The boys team placed 2nd out of eight schools in the Giant Slalom Event. Senior Derrick Amodei was the first finisher for CC with a place of 4th overall with a time of 23.63. Andrew Solomon came in 6th with a time of 23.83; Alex Nardone, 7th with a time of 24.00; James Bloomfield, 10th with a time of 24.62; Nick Solomon, 14th with a time of 24.96, and Jacob Mulligan 24th at 26.29. The boys are missing captain Owen Guttadauro who is out for the season with a knee injury.

The girls team placed 4th with Tessa Dible as the first across the line with a place of 11 and a time of 24.86. Next was Emma Mahoney with 12th and a time of 24.97, then Reilly Harring 17th, 25.36, Kate Trieschmann 28th with 27.16, Tessa Hanselman 30th at 27.50 and Emma Reichheld finished 33rd. Last year 4 seniors graduated and the girls varsity team has many new faces.
On January 19, Concord Carlisle Alpine ski team participated in its second Slalom race of the season. The boys team narrowly missed first place out of eight schools having four varsity skiers in the top 10. Sophomore Andrew Solomon was first across the finish line for CC with a place of 4th with a time of 26.90. Next was Alex Nardone at 6th place with a time of 27.68, Nick Solomon came in 7th with a time of 27.95, James Bloomfield was 9th at 28.81 and Jacob Mulligan 14th at 30.28.

The girls team improved to 3rd overall with Emma Mahoney finishing first for CC at 13th place with a time of 29.20, Tessa Dible was 16th at 29.80, Reilly Harring 18th with a time of 30.84, Allison Lin was 23rd at 31.81, Emma Reichheld was 26th with a time of 33.04.
