Commuter Rail Collides With Car On Lincoln Tracks
The car had been abandoned before impact, police said.

LINCOLN, MA — A commuter rail train crashed into an abandoned car late Thursday night, causing the latest in a series of unfortunate delays for the beleaguered transit line.
Lincoln Police said the train collided with the vehicle near the South Great and Old Sudbury Road crossings shortly after 11 p.m. No one was in the car when it was struck, and no one aboard the train was injured.
Last week a commuter rail train with some 800 passengers derailed, causing huge morning delays. Two days later, a commuter rail train in Hanson was stalled when its engine caught ablaze.
