Concord Orchestra Holiday Family Concert

Family concert including choir and audience sing-along

The Concord Orchestra, conducted by Richard Pittman, will present a holiday family concert: The Call of the Railroad. The orchestra will perform Robert Kapilow’s, Chris Van Allsburg’s Polar Express with David Kravitz, baritone, and the Lexington High School Women’s Chorus. In keeping with the railroad theme, the orchestra will perform Johann Strauss’ Pleasure Train Polka and Silvestre Revueltas’ Construction of the Railroad. Other seasonal music includes The Snow by Edward Elgar and Hanukkah music from Samuel Adler’s Flames of Freedom. David Kravitz and the chorus will lead an audience sing-along of familiar holiday music. Performances are on Sunday, December 6 at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center at 51 Walden in Concord. Tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for children.
