It's been a pretty quiet week here in Concord. Even so, some readers have voiced their opinions on a variety of topics. Here's a look at some of the issues that got Concordians talking over the last week.
- As the debate over the future of the CCRSD Transportation Department continues, so too do the comments on the various articles regarding it on Patch. last week, saying outsourcing should not be the only option facing district transportation. Earlier this week, a few additional comments were added to that post, offering suggestions to help remedy the issue and asking questions as to how the process go to where it is. to see what they had to say.
- Many residents came out Wednesday night to . Michele P. posted a comment on that article, saying, "Thanks to everyone who attended and showed their unwavering support for our drivers and maintenance workers. Hopefully many of the issues will finally be explored and an acceptable solution will be made; one where privatization is not an option!!"
- Our friend Bill Montague had some thoughts to share this week. On Monday, we ran an announcement about a program for parents of teenagers, which aimed to help parents communicate with their children during the difficult teen years. Bill said, "I have a suggestion for teenagers that may be of some help to them. I would recommend Ralph Waldo Emerson's Golden Essay Self-Reliance." to read his entire comment.
- In our this week, we highlighted, among other things, National Grid's President for Massachusetts, Concordian Marcy Reed's recent award. After reading , Bill said, "I am very pleased to see more Women rising up to take control of more businesses. I hope this will inspire more Women to assert themselves in business and politics as well. We men have been running the world long enough. It's time for Women to show us what they can do! Cheers!"
