• Bat Boy: The Musical (theatermania.com) — Umbrella Arts is bringing the campy horror-comedy "Bat Boy: The Musical" to Concord from September 25 through November 8, with shows Thursday through Sunday and free student and educator previews. The pop-rock satire follows a half-bat, half-boy outsider named Edgar as he searches for belonging, and includes a special KidCare performance option requiring advance registration.
   

• Concord Orchestra exploring rhythm in eclectic 2026-27 'Impulse' season (concordbridge.org) — Concord residents can look forward to the Concord Orchestra's 2026-27 "Impulse" season, with five themed concerts at 51 Walden starting October 17–18 and running through May. Programs feature everything from Tchaikovsky and Debussy to contemporary works, a Young Artist Concerto Competition, and guest soloists, with tickets free for under-18s and $25 for adults and seniors.
   

• Weighing an 18th-century Concord physician's contrasting legacies (concordbridge.org) — In Concord, a visiting relative of 18th-century physician Dr. John Cuming confronts his dual legacy as a civic leader and enslaver while touring his gravesite and historic Elm Street home. Local historian Elise Lemire is pushing to preserve the Cuming House near the Route 2 rotary and reinterpret it to honor both Cuming and formerly enslaved resident Brister Freeman.
