- On Monday, we featured , and his goal of raising $150,000 for the Alzheimer's Association of Massachusetts and New Hampshire by running in the Boston Marathon in honor of his mother. Trish Reske had this to say: "Andy, it's really a wonderful thing that you're doing for your mom. I hope your training and fundraising go really well, and if I can, I will try to make it out to your benefit night. Thanks Concord Patch for covering such an important issue - Alzheimer's affects so many people, we need to keep working toward a cure."
- Back in October, Patch ran a story about the . Since then, there has been a lively discussion taking place in the comment section. Just recently, Chairman of the School Committee Peter Fischelis said, "…Next Tuesday the 24th, at 6:30 p.m. in the , the school administration will present the findings of the transportation evaluation to the School Committee. This is a public meeting and anyone is welcome to attend. It will be recorded and shown on CCTV as well. There will be an opportunity for citizen comments after the report is given. The School Committee listens to citizens comments but does not respond. The School Committee has also decided to hold a special public forum on this issue. It will take place on Wednesday night, February 1st, 7 p.m. at the .
