Coronavirus: Emerson Hospital Nurse Gets Support From Family

This nurse's three kids decorated their house windows with encouraging drawings and messages for their germ-fighting mommy.

CONCORD, MA — A nurse at Emerson Hospital was greeted with pictures and messages of support from her three kids when she arrived home from work. Emerson Hospital took the messages a step further and shared the photos on its Facebook page, showing how proud the family was of their germ-fighting mommy.

Nurse Lindsey's three kids drew photos for her, showing her fighting off the virus and saving patients at the hospital. Papers against the window read messages like "We're so proud of you mommy," and "Keep fighting the germ war mommy."

Nurse Lindsey's husband originally published the photos with a heartfelt message attached, reading, "This epidemic has been compared to war; I hope when it’s all over people remember it was nurses like you, who were in the trenches everyday, that won the war."
