This Day in Concord History: Louisa May Alcott Registers to Vote
Today is the 136th anniversary of a special day in Concord history.

CONCORD, MA—Tuesday is the anniversary of an important day for the women of Concord.
On this day 136 years ago, Louisa May Alcott became the first Concord woman to register to vote. Alcott is perhaps known best for her classic tale Little Women.
Alcott's Orchard House still proudly stands today at 339 Lexington Road.
