Donate and Save, Tomorrow in Concord Depot

Make a donation to Household Goods Recycling of Massachusetts and receive 20 percent off purchases at Barefoot Books and juju.

Are you looking to make some room in the house for all the new goodies you're gifted with while helping other families in need this holiday season? Why not swing by Concord Depot tomorrow to drop off your reusable home goods and rack up the savings at some local stores?

Carolyn Wilkins of said the bookstore and studio has teamed up with to support Home Goods Recycling of Massachusetts, a member of the National Furniture Bank Association and organization that helps distribute gently used home items to Bay State families in need of assistance.

HGRM accepts "donations of clean, usable furniture and household items for individuals and families in need," according to the organization's website HGRM.org. Food and clothing are not accepted by HGRM.

Tomorrow, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., people can bring their own household goods to the HGRM truck parked in front of the Depot building on Thoreau Street in exchange for a 20 percent discount on purchases at (89 Thoreau St.) and (82 Thoreau St.), Friday only.
