Adult Faith Formation Course: The Gospel of Mark

Holy Family Parish in Concord, MA is pleased to announce an upcoming adult faith formation course:  The Gospel of Mark.  This three week course will be offered by Dr. Michael O'Laughlin at Holy Family Parish in Concord, MA and will meet on Wednesdays March 14, 21 and 28 from 7:30 - 9:30 PM. The first session will be an Introduction to the New Testament, a class that can be applied toward Basic Catechist Certification in the Archdiocese of Boston. In the subsequent two sessions, Dr. O’Laughlin will give both an overview of the gospel as well as highlight salient themes unique to Mark.  Michael O'Laughlin is a popular speaker in church and retreat circles. He did graduate theological work both at Oxford and Harvard Universities. In the latter he specialized in New Testament and Early Church History and was part of ground-breaking research on previously unknown gospels and their readers in earliest Christianity. The talks will be held in Monument Hall located at 62 Monument Square in Concord. A donation of $5 – 10 per session is deeply appreciated.
