Let the music play on! This weekend continues the wonderful music offerings of Act III. Starting Thursday evening from 6 – 8pm, pianist Ted Knowlton plays during dinner. There are few things as relaxing as listening to piano music, with a good friend, sharing a delicious meal, enjoying a glass or two of wine.
Later in the evening, from 8:30 until 10:30, the Nando Michelin Band takes over. Billed as “Brazilian Jazz” the melodies are smooth and sweet, and make for some of the best jazz listening. Enjoy it with a friend over one of Act III’s sweet desserts, or antipasto plates. There is no cover charge, but donations to support the musicians are very welcome.
On Friday, from 6 - 8 pm, solo guitarist Jane Miller plays. There is no cover charge, and this is a great way to end the week. Bring your date and start the weekend off on the right foot! From 9 – 11 pm, The Jim Robitaille Trioplays. Check the Act III website for tickets and reservations.

Saturday, Ric Maure starts the evening from 6 – 8 pm.. Let Ric’s piano playing warm your soul before the cold weather sets in on Sunday! Ric is followed by the ever popular Love Dogs. According to a quote on its website, “The Love Dogs are funny, funky, and push a beat 50’s style until you can’t help but tap your feet. With big thick horns and humorous, sexy lyrics, this band is built for fun.” The show is sold out, though seats are still available in the lounge – call Gwenn at 978-486-3600 for reservations. There is no cover charge for lounge seats.
Sunday is the best way to end the week. The Jazz Jam takes place from 4 – 7 – longer if folks want to stay and play. Bring your instrument and join other musicians and share in the fun and energy.

Act III shares the building with Gallery 529. In business for less than a year, Gallery 529 is already becoming a destination in the region. The gallery is a fine arts and artisan made retail store where visitors can find the perfect gift for any occasion. Weekends, through October, one can enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious snack or meal while listening to live music. Fine art, delicious food and live music on the weekends…a total celebration of the arts. What could be better?
