Police Log: Warrant Arrest; Motor Vehicle Crashes; Nosey Raccoon

The Concord Police Department supplied the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

The following incidents were documented in the logs.

Warrant Arrest
At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, police initiated a motor vehicle stop on Sandy Pond Road, resulting in the arrest of Roney Gomes Goncalves, 30, of Dorchester, for two outstanding warrants — one from Dorchester, one from Belmont — and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Motor Vehicle Crashes
At approximately 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, police received a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle struck a pole on The Valley Road, and the operator walking toward Heaths Bridge Road. While en route to the scene, dispatch received another 911 call from the operator of the vehicle who had walked home, reporting the accident. The involved party walked back to the scene and met with police. The vehicle was removed from the scene, there was no damage to the pole.

Approximately 20 minutes later, police responded to another accident on Cambridge Turnpike at Lexington Road, involving two vehicles. No injuries were reported. A citation was issued to one of the drivers for failure to use care in stopping.

Nosey Raccoon
Just before 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, police received a call from reporting a raccoon that frequents the dumpster behind . The reporting party did not know if the animal was sick, or just looking for food.
