Press release: Martinez Opens Office in Chelmsford
From the campaign: State Senate hopeful gets endorsement from Ed King, limited tax initiator.
With an enthusiastic overflow crowd looking on, Sandi Martinez cut the ribbon officially opening the Martinez for State Senate Campaign HQ in Chelmsford on Friday evening.
The standing room only crowd heard words of leadership from Ed King, one of the founders of Citizens for Limited Taxation who talked about Sandi's unwavering support for the people of the district and her promise to be a vigilant advocate for the taxpayers.
"When I founded Citizens for Limited Taxation I could only dream of a day when we would have candidates like Sandi Martinez," said King. "Her understanding of economics would be refreshing in the senate. The fact that she really cares about the burdens on our taxpayers is especially welcome."

He continued "She is a fine candidate and will make a great senator, replacing an incumbent who consistently votes for big budgets, wild spending, and higher taxes. I am honored to endorse Sandi Martinez." Martinez is challenging incumbent Sen. Susan Fargo (D-Lincoln) along with candidate Eric Dahlberg, a Chelmsford resident and selectman.
Congressional Medal of Honor winner Tom Hudner from Concord spoke of his support for Sandi and remarked about her support for the district and for veterans as a daughter and a mother of veterans and active duty Marines.

Martinez spoke of her commitment to represent the best interests of the district, not special interests.
"My priorities would include working to attract business by repealing excessive taxes and regulations that drive business and our young and seniors out of state," Martinez said. She also vowed not to turn a blind eye to corruption which has been so rampant on Beacon Hill recently as the long list of troubled speakers (of the House) and senators can attest.
Sandi's supporters from Concord joined other Martinez supporters from across the district and beyond who were served delicious refreshments and pastry by the "Women for Sandi" team.
