Trinitarian Congregational Church's New Pipe Organ
Are you curious to know what's going on with all the construction at the Trinitarian Congregational Church (TriCon) at 54 Walden Street?
TriCon is getting a new "Opus #159" pipe organ made by Noack Organ Company of Georgetown, MA. The new pipe organ will be a tracker instrument of two manuals and twenty-five stops, located on the back balcony. The case will harmonize with the elegant building, which was designed in a classic New England style by the preeminent architect Harry Little.
In order to create space for the new organ, TriCon church is undergoing some renovations in the back balcony. The contractor, CE Floyd and our architects, Maugel Inc. expect to have construction completed by June 2016. During this construction period of TriCon's sanctuary, 51 Walden has been a gracious neighbor and is allowing TriCon to hold most of it's Sunday worship services across the street at 51 Walden.
EVENT: On Sunday, March 13th at 11:00am (following the worship service), TriCon's organ builder, Didier Grassin will be in the Church Parlor for afireside chat to share information on the process of crafting the organ, to give an update on the progress and to answer questions.
A photo gallery of the organ construction and construction at TriCon can be viewed on our website at http://triconchurch.org/new-organ-photo-gallery or on our Facebook Page.
