WATCH: Actor Chris Evans Thanks Emerson Hospital Staff
The Captain America star is a Sudbury native and calls Emerson his "hometown hospital."
CONCORD, MA — Front-line health care workers at Emerson Hospital were thanked by Captain America himself this weekend. Acton Chris Evans, a Sudbury native, shouted out the hospital staff in a video on Friday.
The Captain America star called Emerson his "hometown hospital," and said he has a special connection, explaining that his niece and two nephews were both born there.
"You guys have always been so fantastic," Evans said, "I'm so deeply appreciative of your tireless efforts, your commitment, your courage, your strength — we all need it so much right now."

Evans isn't the first celebrity to shoutout the hospital. In fact, Emerson has had a star-studded video procession, starting with Steve Carell's video offering his thanks and reminiscing on his mother's time as a nurse in the hospital. And just last week Boston Pops principal horn player Gus Sebring treated hospital staff to a virtual show as his way of saying thank you.
Evans' video was published to Emerson Hospital's Facebook page and was quickly flooded with over 400 reactions, 36 comments and over 200 shares.
