2nd Annual Danvers All Hallows Eve Animal Parade, Costume Contest and Mini Pet Expo Saturday, Oct. 28 from 1 to 4 p.m.

To raise pet care awareness, build community, and generate donations of pet food and supplies for the Danvers People to People Food Pantry.

Dress 'em up and bring Fido and Ms. Kitty, your ferrets, lizards, birds and fish for a really fun time!

Join in the celebration as we raise awareness about animal care, build community and help the Danvers People to People Food Pantry by collecting donations of pet food and supplies for the folks who need it most.

Mingle with pet parents, enjoy cider and donuts and other fall treats, pose with your furry friends for selfies in a photo booth, take part in a grand parade through downtown Danvers, and pick up lots of useful pet information from our guests and costume judges:

This is the second annual All Hallows Eve Animal Parade and Info Expo, and it is sponsored by All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore and Maple Street Church as part of the Danvers Interfaith Partnership.

It takes place Saturday, October 28 (the 29 is the rain date) from 1 to 4 p.m. and we invite all who attend to bring a donation of pet food (bags or cans), pet supplies or pet toys.

How it will work: We will gather at Maple Street Church, 90 Maple Street, in Danvers, at 1 p.m. for costuming, photos in the photo booth, food, and more. Then, at 2:15 we'll process from Maple Street to All Saints Episcopal Church, 46 Cherry Street, where you will find info tables, refreshments and lots of pet and people fun. And then -- ta dah -- the costume contest with prizes commences.

We'll be selecting winners from the following categories for small to medium pets and large pets: funniest, scariest, most creative, best owner/dog combo, and best overall costume.
