• North Shore Student-Athletes Earn 2026 Bay State Games Sportsmanship Awards (patch.com) — Danvers sports fans can celebrate as Danvers High's Andrew Maioli and Essex Tech's Dylan Krueger are among more than 40 athletes statewide honored with 2026 Bay State Games Sportsmanship Awards. The recognition highlights local students who stood out for fairness, respect, and leadership during this summer's Bay State Games, earning special certificates and medals for their character on and off the field.
   

• Essex Tech welcomes new school resource officer (lynnfieldweeklynews.com subscription) — Essex Tech in Danvers has a new school resource officer, Danvers Police Officer Chris Freepartner, who will focus on safety and building strong relationships with students and staff. With experience in law enforcement, the Marines, and skilled trades, he's expected to connect closely with the school's technical programs and help maintain a welcoming, secure campus environment.
