Back to School Backpack Carnival For Kids in Need ... Pre-Registration Required

The Sunday School and Perfect Paws Pet Ministry at All Saints Episcopal Church of the North, Danvers -- in collaboration with Haven From Hunger in Peabody -- will be hosting the first annual “Backpack Carnival” for 30 children, grades K through 6th grade, who are pre-registered, on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Registration is limited and required. A registration form may be picked up at Haven From Hunger in Peabody, 71 Wallis Street. First come first served for the first 30 registrants. Please enclose your registration form in the stamped envelope and return to ASNS, 46 Cherry Street, POB 393, Danvers, MA 01923 no later than Wednesday, August 5, 2015.

Families who struggle with financial hardship, and are among the first 30 registered, will be able to receive a free, age appropriate backpack and will have the opportunity to choose “back to school supplies.” Not only will families be able to pick up school supplies to help ease their back-to-school budgets, but children will also be able to join in “carnival games” or practice their reading skills by sitting next to a calm and gentle Therapy dog, certified by Dog B.O.N.E.S. Therapy Dogs of Massachusetts.
